Jeremy Davis: Anaheim City Schools, CA
Sheryl Abshire: Calcasieu Parish Schools, LA
Susan Patrick: International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL) http://www.inacol.org/

What does the research say about online learning and student achievement? See the iNACOL website that compare online and traditional learning, the report is online is equal to or better, but the a blended setting (traditional and online) is showing the most impact on students. As Shawn Wooden stated, Administrative Dean at Brownsburg West Middle School, "It's like co-teaching."

What does an effective blended room look like?
Sheryl Abshire - 1. Tons of student engagement; 2. Student voice is clearer for the learners that are quiet; 3. Teacher satisfaction with student engagement.
Susan Patrick: Promising Practices Paper on this is available on the iNACOL: 1. Shift from lecture to student-centered; 2. Increase the student-teacher interaction; 3. Integrated formative and summative assessments. http://www.inacol.org/research/promisingpractices/index.php ---See the blended learning paper.
